The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) has formally recognised LanguageCert* as an Awarding Organisation offering International ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) qualifications, while LanguageCert International ESOL qualifications are regulated by Ofqual in the sector subject area “Languages, literature and culture of the British Isles”.
Ofqual is a non-ministerial department that regulates qualifications, examinations, and assessments in England. As an independent authority, Ofqual is the single most well-respected recognition authority in the world.
Ofqual recognition marks an exciting new era for LanguageCert as an Awarding Organisation dedicated to language skills assessment and certification and whose utmost objective is to offer high quality qualifications to the global learning community.
All LanguageCert International ESOL qualifications under Ofqual regulation are available to

The operational start time for the regulated qualifications is expected to be towards the end of Q3, 2017.
LanguageCert Approved Test Centres will be informed of operational provisions that will need to be implemented, if not already in place, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements when they carry out LanguageCert International ESOL examinations leading to the regulated qualifications.
A cut-off date after which only the regulated exams will be available will be announced well in advance.
Additional information, guidance and support will be offered to our Partners to ensure a smooth and efficient transition, and business success.
