A Writing test, aligned to the A1-C2 levels of the CEFR.
All candidates take the same test regardless of their language proficiency and receive a certificate based on their performance placing them at levels A1 to C2 of the CEFR. The exam is available in paper-based, computer-based formats and online with remote, live proctoring. In all cases the results and certificates are exactly the same and are equally recognised.
Innovation in the language testing industry
LanguageCert Online exams with remote, live proctoring is a service that allows candidates to take an exam anytime (24/7/365), anywhere and delivers results in just 2-3 business days. All that is needed is a computer, a webcam and an internet connection. A real person (invigilator) is always online to guide, support and supervise the candidate during the exam process. The invigilation is conducted in English. This is an innovative way of delivering exams that lead to the same qualifications as exams on-site: same exam, same certificate, same recognition.

How is the exam scored?
In the LTE A1-C2 Writing exam, candidate performance is assessed across four assessment criteria per writing part. Scores for each of the two parts of the exam are equally weighted and calculated on a 0-100 scale which is fully aligned to the CEFR. A candidate’s overall score is calculated by adding together scores on the two parts of the exam. All candidates receive a certificate stating their overall score and the CEFR level achieved. Candidates whose performance falls below A1 do not receive a certificate.
