LanguageCert USAL esPro Listening & Reading Test
The LanguageCert USAL esPro Listening & Reading test assesses the candidates’ listening and reading skills respectively, as well as knowledge of grammar and vocabulary in the Spanish language.
The LanguageCert USAL esPro Listening & Reading test includes the following task types:
- Multiple choice: candidates read a text or listen to a recording and then answer questions. Each question has three or four options, only one of which is correct.
- Cloze: candidates are given a text with gaps, where words or phrases are missing.
- Gapped sentences: candidates are given individual sentences each with one word missing. They choose the correct word to fill the gap from the four options given.
The LanguageCert USAL esPro Listening & Reading test is available in both Paper and Computer-Based versions.
LanguageCert USAL esPro Writing Test
The LanguageCert USAL esPro Writing test assesses the candidates’ writing skills, as well as knowledge of grammar and vocabulary in the Spanish language and is divided into two parts.
- Email: candidates have to write a short message between 50-60 words using the information given. It is important to cover all the points given in the instructions.
- Report or Letter: candidates need to cover all the points given in the instructions, but this time the answer should be longer (180–200 words) and needs to be written in an appropriate style.
LanguageCert USAL esPro Speaking Test
The LanguageCert USAL esPro Speaking test assesses the candidates’ spoken Spanish in a business context and is divided into three parts.
- Interview: candidates need to be able to talk about their background, education, job, studies, career plans and personal interests.
- Presentation: candidates have to give a short presentation about a work-related topic. They have to choose one of three topics which the examiner will give them and talk for 1 minute.
- Information Exchange and Discussion: candidates have to role-play a situation with the examiner and then participate in a discussion on a similar topic.
