BAC have more than 30 years’ experience and expertise providing accreditation to independent further and higher educational institutions and have developed the IELP scheme to meet today’s increasing global need for the delivery of high quality English language education.

The purpose of the IELP scheme is to acknowledge the quality of institutions and training providers, encompassing teaching and assessment quality, learning experience for students, supporting institutions in their efforts to continually improve, and providing a rigorous inspection-based accreditation service that is evidence based and dedicated to raising standards. Designed by trusted technical experts in the accreditation and English language fields, the scheme sets the bar high for providers to aspire to and offers the opportunity to institutions to become part of BAC’s globally recognised accreditation network.

BACs recognition of LanguageCert International ESOL qualifications further provides students with excellent learning and examinations opportunities and access to great educational experiences. It also widens the recognition of outstanding education and training providers in their field helping to raise standards in the global education market.

Marios Molfetas, Language Qualifications Director of LanguageCert, states, “We are honoured that LanguageCert is now officially listed amongst those Awarding Bodies whose qualifications meet the BAC eligibility criteria for the IELP Scheme! Paul Fear, BAC CEO, comments, “The development of the IELP Scheme demonstrates our commitment to raise the quality standards of institutions who deliver English language programmes around the world. The scheme reflects best practice in international English language education and the inclusion of LanguageCert as one of the recognised awarding bodies in our eligibility criteria, sends a clear message to education providers applying for accreditation and supports the standards BAC is passionate about.
