There are two ways to print information in a workbook that is loaded in Microsoft Office Excel Web Access or when you view an Office Excel workbook in Web Browser view. (Point to the item, click the arrow next to it, and then click View in Web Browser.) You can either print the information by using the Internet Explorer Print command or by opening the workbook and by using the Print features in Microsoft Office Excel 2007.
What do you want to do?
Print by using the Internet Explorer Print command
Print by opening the workbook and using the Print features in Office Excel 2007
Print by using the Internet Explorer Print command
Use this way of printing when you want to quickly print what is displayed on the screen, and you don't need to print what's not displayed on the screen, such as data that is scrolled out of view, worksheets that are not currently displayed, or named items that are not currently selected for viewing in the Named Item to Display menu on the toolbar.
- In the Internet Explorer command bar, on the File menu, click Print.
Internet Explorer prints the current screen on one print page.
Tip Under the File menu, you can also click Page Setup to change some print settings, such as changing the orientation to Portrait or Landscape, and then click Print Preview to see exactly what will be printed.
Note
If you want to print in color, make sure the Print background colors and images check box is selected in the Printing section on the Advanced tab of the Advanced dialog box (On the Tools menu, click Internet Options).
Top of PagePrint by opening the workbook and using the Print features in Office Excel 2007
Use this method to print when you want more flexibility in printing a workbook, such as printing a selected range of cells, changing print settings and print layout, or printing the entire workbook.
Note
This procedure requires Office Excel 2007 to be installed on your computer.
- On the Office Excel Web Access toolbar, click the arrow next to the Open menu, and then either click Open in Excel or Open Snapshot in Excel.
The entire workbook or snapshot is opened in Office Excel 2007 on your computer. For more information on printing in Office Excel 2007, see the Office Excel 2007 Help system.
An administrator can customize Excel Web Access so that the
Open
menu is hidden on the Excel Web Access toolbar. For example, the
Type of Toolbar property might be set to hide the
Open menu or the
Open in Excel, Open Snapshot in Excel property is cleared. For more information, see
Excel Web Access Web Part custom properties.
