Manage search keywords and Best Bets
Manage search keywords and Best Bets

Follow these procedures to make changes to keywords, including changes in keyword definitions and Best Bet URLs. You can also change the order in which Best Bets appear on the search results page and remove keywords and Best Bets that are no longer relevant or required.

Change search keywords and Best Bets

  1. On the portal site home page, click Site Actions, point to Site Settings, and then click Modify All Site Settings.
  2. In the Site Collection Administration section, click Search keywords.
  3. On the Manage Keywords page, rest the pointer on the keyword that you want to change, click the arrow that appears, and then click Edit.
  4. On the Edit Keyword page, make the changes that you want, including changes to Best Bets, and then click OK.

Delete search keywords and Best Bets

  1. On the portal site home page, click Site Actions, point to Site Settings, and then click Modify All Site Settings.
  2. In the Site Collection Administration section, click Search keywords.
  3. On the Manage Keywords page, rest the pointer on the keyword that you want to delete, click the arrow that appears, and then click Delete.
  4. When you are prompted, click OK.

 Note    To delete Best Bets from individual keywords, follow the above procedure "Change search keywords and Best Bets."
